Coming soon...

In the next couple of weeks I'll have a series of new business card designs for myself. They will be promotional rather than representational in nature, and will be as striking as possible. They'll be short runs of just 50 or so, and I'll have the designs posted here before they go to press.

Elementary!

Occasionally at my newspaper job I get a chance to design an ad for us that will go in another publication; in this case a program for the local Sherlock Holmes Festival. Why do we have such a festival here? William Gillette, an early 20th century actor who originated the role of Sherlock Holmes on stage, lived in Tryon for many years. In any case, I was pleased with this effort; I even wrote the copy.

Early work

A very early logo design for Claude Warren, perpetual coffeehouse pilgrim and chief of the local geeks. One of my first attempts to manipulate paths in Illustrator. I've gotten a lot better, and now could do something similar in about a quarter of the time.
